Pay/Half Stores

Until I started working in downtown Chicago, I'd never seen a Pay/Half store. I've still never been inside one, but I did once teach math, and so these stores trouble me a bit.

Pay/Half =

Pay/.5 =

Pay x 2

Draw your own conclusions.

How interesting. We don't have pay/half stores here so you have to go check it out and see if they really are charging double.. lol.. Maybe they didn't think their name through quite as well as they should have ;)

I can't help but notice that the Sudoku puzzle looks simpler than Pay/Half.

How likely is it that Pay/Half refers to their employees: We pay them half of what they're worth. ?

We don't have pay/half here either .. we have Dollar Stores. Everything's a dollar. Probably the sort of math this marketing team is used to. ;)

actually you really pay half of what another store might charge you. They have one at the mall near my house and here they have really cute stuff.
