It's probably no surprise that I'm no fan of reality TV--I really hoped that the whole Borat lawsuit hurricane would put an end to the industry altogether. But every once in a while I run across something that surprises even me. This time, it's a proposed reality show modeled on the old "Dating Game"...but with a twist. The winner just might get to marry a U.S. citizen and gain citizenship!
Thinking that doesn't quite sound legal? I agree completely: Who Wants to Commit a Crime?

HAHAHA! That's all i really want and need to say. Uh, but i think there would be quite a few who would find the prize attractive. I just wonder how much the U.S. citizen would be paid to marry a complete stranger who might not even be all that good looking, smart etc.

Frightening! This sounds like one of those weird police stings to round up criminals. "Hey! It's ok you're an illegal. Just show up at this studio and we'll give you the chance to vie for your citizenship."
But that's just paranoia talking, probably. At any rate, a very bad idea.
